Hicks, 28, was usually by President Donald Trump's side during the campaign, attending nearly every rally as his press secretary, CNN said. The House panel wants to ask Hicks about any contact between other Trump associates and Russians, CNN said.
The committee is likely to ask her about the White House's involvement in crafting a misleading response last summer after a June 2016 meeting between Russians and Donald Trump Jr. was made public, CNN said.
Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, are expected to testify this week before the committee, CNN said.
Hicks, a former teen model for Ralph Lauren, has garnered much attention, with profiles in the New York Times, The Washington Post, GQ, Town and Country and a host of other national publications.
She was co-captain of the lacrosse team at Greenwich High and played lacrosse all four years at the club level at Southern Methodist University.
After college, Hicks worked at Hiltzik Strategies, a large public relations firm that represents Hollywood clients and corporate executives. She then went to work for Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, and her luxury jewelry lines and Trump's real estate holdings. She was asked to join the campaign staff in early 2015.
Her father and grandfather also worked in public relations. Paul B. Hicks III was the right-hand man of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and also worked as the CEO for Ogilvy Public Relations as their U.S. lead. Her late grandfather, Paul Hicks, was a vice president and general manager of public relations for Texaco.
